Explore Nature (15mins)
Upon arrival will be allowed to let the kids explore as they wish to the pond, to the cows, the garden, free play, solo play, whatever feels natural to the children and family. Use bathrooms, get settled at the farm
Gather and Socialize (15mins)
Will hear a harmonica playing to gather at the blanket or tarp, our general gathering area, where we circle up and get to know eachother! We will share our names and something special about ourselves, can share or pass, no pressure on the kids or families.
Experience Nature (45mins)
Once we’ve explored, settled into the farm and connected by getting to know eachother, we will have a Nature activity/activities to do from mud pies (come in clothes to get messy!), to experiencing what might live in the pond, to many various nature activities led by your facilitator!
Snack & Socialize
(15mins)
After we have had some much fun exploring, connecting and experiencing nature together, we will all sit down for a snack & talk about all the fun we just had!
A gently guided outdoor experience that nurtures curiosity, empathy, & learning beyond the classroom through real connection with animals & nature.
These guided educational visits offer children and families a chance to explore nature through playful, hands-on activities such as pond life discovery and mud creations. The journey finishes with a special time meeting the cows—feeding them, learning their names, and deepening friendships with the farm’s residents.
When children form empathetic connections with nature and animals, those early impressions become meaningful memories that influence how they see and care for the world.
Our guided programs weave together exploration of land, water, plants, and animals, creating meaningful childhood impressions rooted in care, curiosity, and connection.
An age-appropriate exploration of trees, their parts, and the life they support.
Children explore the pond to observe insects, plants, and tiny creatures, learning how each plays a role in this living ecosystem.
Children explore soil through touch and play, learning how healthy soil helps plants grow and supports life beneath our feet.
Children explore what cows need to feel safe and happy, fostering empathy and appreciation for these gentle beings.
Gentle, unhurried time in the sanctuary lets students step beyond the classroom and meet nature through observation, care, and meaningful hands-on moments.
